France | E-invoicing
From September 2026, e-invoicing becomes mandatory for businesses operating in France. Zapfloor is compliant today, through our integration with Billit — so your invoicing keeps running smoothly, whatever the deadline.

France is rolling out mandatory business-to-business e-invoicing and e-reporting, overseen by the French tax authority (DGFiP). Invoices will no longer be exchanged as PDFs or paper — they'll be issued in a structured format and routed through a certified Approved Platform (formerly known as a PDP) to the national portal, the PPF.The goal: real-time visibility for tax authorities, less manual invoice admin, and fewer errors for businesses.
What counts as compliant?
Invoices issued in a structured e-invoice format:
Factur-X, UBL, or CII.
Sent and received via a government-certified Approved Platform (Plateforme Agréée), not directly between businesses.
Relevant transaction data (including B2C and cross-border) reported to the DGFiP through e-reporting.
September 1st 2026
Large & mid-sized companies
Must issue and receive e-invoices. All companies, regardless of size, must be able to receive them from this date.
September 1st 2027
SME's & micro-companies
Full obligation to issue e-invoices and comply with e-reporting extends to smaller businesses.
Ongoing
Approved platforms
Only platforms accredited by the DGFiP can transmit invoices — businesses can no longer send them directly to each other.
Billit is a smart invoicing and accounting platform that helps businesses digitise their financial processes. Billit is an accredited Approved Platform (PDP) for France's e-invoicing reform, and an official Peppol Access Point — giving Zapfloor one partner for both French compliance and cross-border e-invoicing across the EU.
With our integration, Zapfloor formats, validates, and routes your invoices to French customers automatically — no separate portal, no manual re-keying.
